Hit And Runs That Couldnt Run Away Thanks To A Dash Cam
Mistakes happen but accountability goes a long way. Unfortunately, accountability is hard to enforce when witnesses are nowhere to be found. Thats where dash cams come in! The victims of all the videos below had a silent witness installed onto their windshields that captured the entire story.
The 4Runner driver got out of his vehicle to inspect the damage on F750 user Josephs vehicle but left shortly after without leaving details. While the damage appeared to be minimal, Joseph later found out there was a dent left behind the license plate. After providing this video to his insurance, Joseph successfully claimed damages without having to pay his deductible.
The Silverado driver unexpectedly turned right in the left lane, hitting the Explorer during the process before quickly speeding off. Luckily for the Explorer driver, Andy and his X500 dash cam happened to be driving right behind. The dash cam footage later served as evidence against the Silverado driver.
F550 user Jag was parked behind a white Silverado when it backed into his Sierra. Without much hesitation, the Silverado driver proceeded to drive off. Of course, they didnt know that Jags dash cam was hardwired and caught their
Not only did the G3 driver commit a hit-and-run, but the dangerous maneuver was carried out during a red light. Little did the G3 driver know, the victim had a X350 dash cam installed that recorded their license plate. Although an update on the situation hasnt been released, the victims dash cam footage recorded enough details to pursue the reckless driver.
F750 user Dwayne was driving on the highway when another driver suddenly merged into his lane without warning. Although Dwayne had witnesses on his side, it was his dash cam footage that finally ended disputes over what really happened.
While all these situations arose in different locations and circumstances around the country, one things for sure: the ending would have been different if not for their dash cam.
